Shogi is a Japanese board game with similar rules and structure as Chess, but with some major differences. For example, the board has a 9x9 grid (instead of 8x8) and the pieces are different. When an opponent's piece is captured, it can be put back on the board on the other side (much like the Crazyhouse variant of Chess). The goal in Shogi like Chess is also to checkmate the opponent's King.
