A pawn break is a pawn move that opens up the position by attacking enemy pawns, forcing them to capture. The name "pawn break" supposedly is dubbed as such because it breaks up the enemy's Pawn Structure.

Usage[]

Pawn breaks are helpful for opening up areas which are closed by pawns.
